Cycling is a sport that, for the most part, values tradition.
Perhaps one of the most traditional things in cycling is the classic short sleeve, full-zipper three-pocket jersey. This basic cycling jersey design is about a century old now, and it stuck around for that long for a reason, being that it works well for the intended purpose: riding medium to long distances on a bicycle.
But it’s 2023, and technical sports fabrics have come a long way. We can experiment with new ideas. In a world where we have highly breathable fabrics, do we still need a full zipper? Maybe, but maybe not always. Why not make a super-svelte cycling garment that does away from another potential point of friction and irritation (and yes if you care about aero: air resistance), the zipper.
We made our Montu Peak zipless jersey from a premium and highly breathable four-way stretch fabric.
