Most bibshorts are five or six panels stitched together. Every join is a line of thread you will eventually feel, and the longer the ride, the sooner eventually arrives.
The Shen is cut from a single piece of fabric. A single cut, fewer closing seams. The fabric stretches as one continuous surface through the thighs, hips, and saddle contact area, moving the way your skin does instead of pulling against a patchwork of joins.
The legs end in a raw finish. No hem band, no folded edge. The fabric is cut and left clean, so the transition from short to skin is a fade, not a line.
The bib straps cross at the back in an X. Instead of loading two points on your traps, the crossed layout spreads pressure across your whole back and keeps the straps planted when you are deep in the drops or stretched out on aero bars.
This is an ultra endurance short. It is not built to impress in the first ten minutes, plenty of bibs manage that. It is built for the difference between hour one and hour five, when small things become the only things.
Named after the shen ring — the ancient Egyptian symbol of eternity: a loop of rope with no beginning and no end. One continuous form. That is the construction, and that is the intent.
Machine wash cold, hang to dry. Raw-cut edges are stable by construction and will not fray with normal use.
